AirCard Sierra Wireless Sprint 597U - Location Based Services (LBS) & GPS capability on Revision A connections through an enhanced version of the Sprint Connection Manager software. Perform location based searches to find a nearby restaurant, gas station, bank and other points of interest without having to input your current location. Reliable High Speed Wireless Data Access Where Available: Receive broadband-like average data transmission speeds when downloading and uploading data to your PC (when and where available). 

Security: Employs CDMA wireless technology authentication and identification system for top-notch security. The Mobile Identification Number (MIN) and Electronic Serial Number (ESN), together with CDMA spread spectrum technology, make it virtually impossible for unauthorized users to capture and decipher messages and other sensitive information. Support for latest 3G technology, but backward compatible where 3G is unavailable Software: Zero-CD Install easy software installation - no CD required for both Windows and Macintosh OS users. I've tried other broadband cards and keep coming back to this one. It works reliably and I've had trouble with the speed, software and bulkiness of others. When it has to be replaced I call Sprint and they help me get the new one going within minutes. I've had it running on a garbage pc, MacBook Pro and now MacBook Air. Any time it doesn't start up right away because I yanked it out (while it was doing something) and closed the laptop, I just click command Q to quit the application and then restart it and bingo...it's up and running again.
