AirCard is the required gadget for mobile broadband devices. Sierra, an AirCard manufacturer call theirs AirCard. ATT, also an AirCard manufacturer, call theirs Connect Cards, mean each company have different name for that gadget.
At my local place, they promote AirCard as Data Card. It's make me confused because Data Card is familiar like flashdisk or something like that
. Some people refer them as 3G Card, they may use 3G signal technology. Maybe when '3' is replaced by '4' we will start calling them as 4G Card. :pAirCard have another synonyms like Wireless Card. I don't like this one. 'Wireless' familiar with connects to a network without cable. Ok guys, that is my opinion about AirCard different name.
